Yahoo Answers to Help Others

Do you have a blog or website that you are trying to promote?  If so, check out Yahoo Answers and see if there is a category on there that you can help others with and then refer them to your blog for even more help!  That will give you a back-link, AND it will help the visitor learn more about the question they are asking on Yahoo Answers.  That is a simple thing, but it can mean so much to a visitor who is searching and searching for good information on a topic.  "Know your stuff" and help others with it! :)

Another Tip for Quality Blogs

If you have a quality blog, and I'm sure you do, you can do something on top of basic SEO; You can submit a great article to ezinearticles.com.  Don't forget to include a link to your website or blog for further information.  You will need to write a "to-the-point" article, with important information.  Towards the end, you will want to insert a link to your site for the complete information (in order to maintain a sleek, clean article).  By doing this, you are also creating a backlink that will be directing traffic to your site.

Networking the "Right Way"

When you have a blog or website that needs attention, you need to expose it to the right audience.  If you have a blog on achieving the perfect form in basketball, you wouldn't push your blog towards people who are not trying to play basketball, let alone trying to perfect their form! :)  Various bloggers post on forums to put their blog "out there".  If you are truly interested in the topic, and your blog will assist those reading the forum, then by all means post your blog link along with good discussion; just don't spam forums. :)

One great avenue for generating traffic, especially if you have a great post that day, is the social networking world (ie. twitter, facebook, etc).  If you are on one or more social networking sites, you can begin by posting your blog for everyone to see.  If anyone "likes" it they can "re-post" it for their family and friends, or "re-tweet" it for the world to see.  The possibilities are endless! :)
